Canvas to support Question 2

Expanded Bottle Bill Canvas: This Saturday 10AM Meet @ Milne Library

Canvas your fellow residents to support Question 2, an expanded bottle bill.

COOL Committee members will be there to give you your turf map and voter list.  Please consider voting YES on 2 and feel free to reply to this email with any questions.  We can provide you with literature, bumper stickers, lapel stickers, and signs

Details below:

The first Yes on 2 canvass in Williamstown will take place this coming Saturday 10/25 from 10 AM - 1 PM. I really hope you can all take part, and bring one or more friends to join you. We have 5 turfs cut in Williamstown, and it should be a really productive day to reach out to hundreds of undecided voters who can help tip the balance in Question 2's favor!

The negative beverage industry TV ads are still running, and many voters--especially in eastern MA--are being swayed by the "we have curbside, we don't need deposits" line. So it's up to our campaign to counterbalance this influence at the grassroots level by hitting the streets and taking our message directly to undecided voters.

Date & Time: Sat. 10/25, 10 AM
Meeting Place: Milne Public Library, corner of Routes 2 and 7 in Williamstown
Bring: comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothes, a few pens, clipboard, water & a snack

We'll supply the walking turf maps and voter lists, the scripts (talking points), literature, and a brief training.

It is more fun than you might think to talk to people face-to-face about a cause you believe in!

This will be only a week and half before the election, so it's crucial that we talk to as many people as possible.

Please distribute this email to other folks in W'tn, and please RSVP letting me know if you can join!

Thanks so much!
